In the Realme GT series, the company has launched two smartphones GT 6 and GT 6T this year. After about two years in the Indian market, the company introduced its gaming smartphone series this year. Both these phones of Realme look similar, but there are many big differences in their features. This new phone of the Realme GT series comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, and AI capabilities. We used this Realme phone for a few weeks and have brought its review for you.

Realme has launched this gaming smartphone in India in three storage variants – 8GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 256GB, and 16GB RAM + 512GB. This phone can be purchased in two color options Razor Green and Fluid Silver. The starting price of this Realme smartphone is Rs 40,999 and its top variant comes for Rs 44,999. We have used the Fluid Silver color and 16GB RAM + 512GB variant of this smartphone.
Design of Realme GT 6
The design of the Realme GT 6 is similar to the GT 6T launched earlier. Both phones will look like twin brothers. A dual-tone design will be found in the back panel of the phone. The back panel of the phone is quite shiny, in which you can also see your face. Although the company has used a plastic body in the phone, looking at its shine, it will give you the feel of a premium phone. The back panel of the phone is slippery, due to which fingerprints are easily visible. If you are using the phone without a back cover, then you will have to clean it again and again.
This latest phone of the Realme GT series will have a curved divine display on the front. Very thin bezels are provided around the display. USB Type C charging port, speaker grill, and SIM card slot are provided at the bottom. Microphones will be found on the top. At the same time, the volume as well as power buttons will be available on the left side of the phone. The phone weighs around 199 grams and you can easily grip it in the palm. In this flagship processor, users get Neural Processing Unit i.e. NPU, which is necessary for AI-enabled features. The phone supports up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. We have used its top-end variant.

Apart from this, you will not get any kind of lagging issue even during gaming on the phone. This Realme phone has a GT mode, especially for gamers, in which you can run the game smoothly.
However, if you play games on the phone for more than 30-40 minutes, its back panel will get a little hot. This phone has features like screen recording, and call blocking during gaming. The phone does not lag even when switching from one app to another. Talking about overall performance, this phone can be compared with any expensive budget flagship phone.
OS of Realme GT 6
This Realme phone gets Relame UI 5.0 based on Android 14. This customized skin is also similar to the customized UI of OnePlus and Oppo. It already has many pre-installed apps, which you can uninstall. This operating system of the company is user-friendly to use but can disappoint you a bit due to many bloatware. You do not get the experience of stock Android in the phone, but it has many additional privacy features.
Realme GT 6 is an AI phone, in which you get many AI features based on Google Gemini. It has features like AI Smart Removal Tool, AI Smart Loop, and AI Night Vision Mode. You can use them according to your convenience. AI Smart Removal Tool works like Google’s AI Eraser, in which you can remove unwanted objects from any clicked photo. You can use the AI features available on the phone without any problem.

This Realme phone comes with a big battery of 5,500mAh. A 120W superfast charger is available to charge the phone’s battery. Talking about the battery backup of the Realme GT 6, you can easily use this phone for one and a half days after fully charging it once.
You do not need to keep a power bank with this smartphone. Even if you play games on the phone or watch a web series, its battery easily lasts till evening on full charge. There is a triple camera setup in the back of the Realme GT 6. The phone has a 50MP main camera, which supports OIS i.e. optical image stabilization feature. With this, there is a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera. A 32MP camera will be availaone in the phone for selfies and video calling. This is a gaming phone from Realme, but the company has given a good camera setup in the phone. Talking about its primary camera, a Sony LYT-808 sensor has been used in it, whose size is 1/1.4 inches.
Clear pictures can be clicked in daylight with the main camera of this phone. Depth of field has been used in its main camera sensor, which performs better. Due to the AI feature, you can click good pictures even in low light or evening time. It has an AI night vision feature, which enhances the picture taken in low light. However, a better picture could have been clicked in low light.
You get different camera modes in the phone’s camera app, which you can set according to your needs. In the picture taken in portrait mode from this phone, you also get the option to blur the background more or less. Talking about the front camera for selfies and video calling, its front camera is also fine. Talking about overall camera performance, its camera is fine at this price point.

This gaming smartphone from Realme has many features that can impress you. You may like everything from the design of the phone to the camera, battery, display, etc. The company has worked hard to make the design of the phone attractive, which you will know by looking at the finishing of the phone. The company has also done justice to the camera of this phone. It has a better camera setup than other brands of phones available in this price range.
The back panel of the phone is quite slippery, due to which there is a high possibility of your phone slipping. In such a situation, you will have to clean the back panel of the phone frequently or you should use the phone by putting a cover on it. We also did not like some things in the phone, which include the slippery design of the phone, many pre-installed apps, etc.
