Puja Khedkar Trainee IAS Officer Case: In the case of Maharashtra cadre trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, her father has made a claim. Dilip Khedkar, who retired from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) in 2020, has defended his daughter. Dilip Khedkar said that his daughter has a certain category of mental illness, which medical professionals verified before issuing a disability certificate. In the year 2022, Pooja Khedkar was given a certificate of mental disability under Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016. However, she did not appear at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, when she was called for medical tests on April 22, 2022, and after that on five different occasions. When questioned, Khedkar said, “At that time her Covid test came positive and there was no official information for further tests.
