Anwarul Azim Anar: An MP from Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina’s party, Anwarul Azim Anar, has been murdered in Kolkata. This MP had come to Kolkata for treatment but had gone missing since May 18. He was found dead in Kolkata on Wednesday but the surprising thing is that his dead body has disappeared. Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan told about this in a press conference in Dhaka. He said that the MP has been murdered in Kolkata. 

All killers are Bangladeshis

On the other hand, according to Bangladesh media reports, Bangladesh Police has arrested three people from Bangladesh in this connection. Bangladesh Home Minister said that so far we have come to know that all the killers involved in this are Bangladeshis. This was a well-planned murder. When asked about the whereabouts of the body, he said that he has not found out about it yet.

According to a report by the news agency, the minister said that we will be able to give detailed information about it soon. He definitely said that the Indian police is cooperating in the matter. According to the information, Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim, who entered India on May 12, was last seen on the afternoon of May 13 when he went to a house in Bidhannagar near Kolkata with his friends for medical examination. 

There has been no contact since May 13

A family friend in Kolkata’s Bidhannagar said that MP Anwarul Azim Anar had said that he would travel to Delhi, but there has been no contact with him since May 13. Only mobile messages have been exchanged with his family and his friend in Dhaka. After this, concerned about his sudden alleged disappearance, the MP’s family friend, Gopal Biswas, was informed about his disappearance by the MP’s daughter.

After this, a missing person complaint was lodged at Baranagar Police Station in Bidhannagar. Meanwhile, it was learned that on the morning of May 16, Anwarul Azim called his PA, but could not contact him. Later, when his PA called him, contact could not be established. According to the complaint dated May 18, 2024, the MP’s daughter called Gopal Vishwas, and said that I could not establish contact with my father. At present, investigation into the matter has started.
