Chennai Super Kings informed about Pathirana’s return to Sri Lanka on social media. He said, “Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana is suffering from a hamstring injury and will return to Sri Lanka for further recovery.” Pathirana has bowled brilliantly for CSK throughout the tournament. He has taken 13 wickets at an economy rate of 7.68.
When will Pathirana return?
CSK has not announced whether Mathisha Pathirana will return to bowling in the season or not. CSK is in the race to reach the playoffs by winning 5 out of its first 10 matches. CSK gave an update on Pathirana minutes after Ruturaj Gaikwad lost another toss against Punjab at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday. The team has entered this match without him.
