In the wake of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO’s (Indian Space Research Organization) scientists are receiving widespread acclaim worldwide. Amidst this excitement, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has voiced her admiration for the contributions of women scientists in the Chandrayaan-3 project. On Sunday, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram story to share an image of a group of women scientists from ISRO. Accompanying the image, she wrote, “India’s renowned scientists. Adorned with bindi, sindoor, and mangalsutra, they epitomize simplicity and profound thinking. This is the essence of true Indianness.”
The picture features ISRO’s women scientists, all wearing bindis and sarees, with smiles as they strike a pose for the camera. Prior to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an interaction with women scientists from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Saturday. All of them have been instrumental in the Chandrayaan-3 project, particularly in the successful landing on the southern pole of the moon. India is the first country to achieve a successful landing on the moon’s southern pole, a feat unmatched by any other nation.
On Saturday, at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Modi remarked, “Women scientists have played a crucial role in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The landing site of the Vikram lander will be named ‘Shiv Shakti Point.’ This will inspire future generations to take an interest in science and work for the betterment of humanity. The primary goal should always be the welfare of the people.” He extended his congratulations to ISRO scientists, acknowledging that they have elevated India to new heights, and emphasized that this achievement is no ordinary feat.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted that this mission underscores the strength of India’s space research and program. India has now left its mark on the moon, with its tricolor flag planted. Addressing ISRO scientists, he stated, “You have taken us where no one has gone before. This is today’s India. This is fearless India.”
In essence, Kangana Ranaut’s tribute to ISRO’s women scientists and Prime Minister Modi’s words of praise for their contributions have spotlighted their pivotal role in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The success of this mission not only marks a significant milestone in India’s space exploration journey but also exemplifies the dedication and expertise of Indian scientists, particularly women who have shattered glass ceilings and pushed the boundaries of space exploration.
