Kamala Ekadashi fast will be observed on Saturday, August 12. The Ekadashi tithi of Krishna Paksha in Adhikamasa or Purushottam month is called Kamala Ekadashi. Kamala Ekadashi is also known as Parama and Purushottami Ekadashi. The importance of Kamala Ekadashi has also increased as the auspicious yoga called Harsha is also formed on this Ekadashi. Fasting on Kamala Ekadashi is considered auspicious because this Ekadashi does not come every year but once in three years. Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day is believed to fulfill all wishes and achieve rare achievements. Let’s know the pooja Muhurat, pooja rituals, auspicious yoga and paran time of Kamala Ekadashi Vrat.

The importance of Kamala Ekadashi Vrat

Parma Ekadashi which falls in the month of Padus has special significance as it occurs once in three years. Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this tithi brings happiness and prosperity and destroys sorrow and poverty. At the same time all sins are destroyed and salvation is attained. This Ekadashi is also described as giving rare accomplishments, hence this Ekadashi is called Parama Ekadashi. By fasting on this day and listening to the story, one gets the merit of 100 sacrifices. According to scriptures, worshiping Lord Vishnu with conch, chakra and mace leads to happiness and prosperity in life.

Kamala Ekadashi Vrat Pooja time
Kamala Ekadashi Vrat will be observed on Saturday 12th August 2023. Ekadashi Tithi Starts – 11th August, 7.36 am. End of Ekadashi Tithi – August 12th at 8:30 am. Parma Ekadashi Puja Muhurta – August 12, 7:28 AM to 10:50 AM. Paran Timing – August 12th 8:50 AM. After the Rishikesh Panchanga, which is considered Udaya Tithi, Parma Ekadashi will be observed on Saturday, August 12. So Dwadashi Tithi will be on August 12th from 8:30 am to August 13th at 8:50 am i.e. Dwadashi Tithi will be celebrated on August 13th.

Kamla Ekadashi Puja Ritual

On the day of Parma Ekadashi Vrat, take bath and meditate on Brahma Muhurta and fast before Lord Vishnu with Akshada and flowers in hand. After this spread a red cloth on the square and place the idol or photo of Lord Vishnu and place the worship material under the square. After this one should perform puja in Panchopachar method and offer offering. After this perform Aarti to Lord Vishnu and recite Vishnu Sahasranam. Then you can eat fruits while doing charity. Do pooja in evening too and then you can perform paran on Dwadashi Tithi.

Ome Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaaya Ome Namo Narayanaaya. ॐ Sri Vishnuve cha विद्महे Vasudevaaya धीमहि। May Vishnu exalt us. Good luck to Lord Vishnu, good luck to Garudhvaja. Vishnu Mantra Mangalam Lord Vishnu, Mangalam Garudhvaja. The lotus-eyed Lord is auspicious, and the body is Hari for auspiciousness.
