Hisar: Four years in jail for three convicts of cattle trafficking

Hisar, May 29 (His) The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. Gagandeep Mittal on Monday sentenced three cattle smugglers to four years imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on the trio. The three smugglers, residents of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, were convicted four days ago.

The accused convicted by the court are Ikram, Irfan and Mehboob, who are residents of Jalalabad village in UP’s Shamli district. A case was registered against him under the Haryana Cow Protection and Cow Breeding Act on October 10, 2019, by the Barwala police station. According to the court case, on October 10, 2019, Mohit, a resident of Kirori village, said he was a cow guard.

 

Information was received that a canter of UP number was going from Bhuna to Balak Chowk, carrying cattle. Cow offspring are being taken to Uttar Pradesh. After this, Mahabir Soni, Banwari Lal and Jogindra Balak reached Chopata and stopped the canter with the help of Barwala police. Searching the canter, it was loaded with 20 bulls. The court has sentenced all three in this case.
