Many companies of the country have worked day and night to shape this Parliament, including the Tata Group. The foundation stone of the new Parliament House was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 December 2020. While the work of completing it in record time has been done by Tata Group’s company Tata Projects Limited.

Tata Projects lays foundation stone for new Parliament

For this the basic Rs. 862 crore was allocated. 26,045 tonnes of steel has been used in the construction of the new Parliament House. At the same time, 63,807 tonnes of cement has been used for this. Not only this, 23.04 lakh man-days of employment was also generated due to its construction.

Tata Projects, the company constructing the new Parliament House, has given many gems to the country with its 43 years of experience. The company has prepared space and nuclear infrastructure for ISRO, BARC and has also helped in setting up natural gas plants like Barmer in Rajasthan. This company of Tata Group, which is building a new Parliament House in the national capital, is also going to give a new status to the financial capital of the country, Mumbai. The company is also building the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link which will completely transform Mumbai’s traffic.

HCP Design Follows Parliament’s Dream

The Tata projects would have given a concrete shape to the new Parliament. But its soul i.e. the design was prepared by HCP Design Planning and Management, an Ahmedabad-based company. The company’s chief Vimal Hasmukh Patel is the lead consultant for the Central Vista redevelopment project. It was he who imagined the triangular form of the new Parliament House. Not only this, he also planned to combine the materials used in the new Parliament House with the different cultures of different regions of India.

HCP was founded by Vimal Patel’s father Hasmukh C. Patel in 1960. The history of this company is associated with providing many grand buildings to the country. It also includes Mumbai’s RBI building. In addition, the company’s portfolio includes the renovation of Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, the new campus of IIM-Ahmedabad and the newly developed Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Dham Corridor in Varanasi.
