Planted 50 plants of various medicines and fruits

Jammu, May 27 (His) Medicinal tree plantation was organized by 160 Bn CRPF at Headquarters 160 Bn, Chatha, Jammu on Saturday to maintain environmental balance under Special Action Plan. Various medicines/fruits like amla, tamarind, amla, tamarind etc. 50 saplings of guava, neem, pomegranate etc. were planted.

After the medicinal tree plantation drive, Angom Naresh Singh, (Second Commanding Officer) informed that the Central Reserve Police Force, which is a leader in the security of the country, always strives to make the environment clean and pollution free. Thousands of saplings were planted and taken care of under the tree plantation drive in the last years as well. This year also under the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, 160 B.T. CRPF has set a target of planting 10,000 saplings. This tree plantation program was organized to fulfill this goal.
