Adani Wilmar, the FMCG company of Adani Group, is going to enter the branded wheat segment. The company has announced that it will now sell wheat in the market under the Fortune brand name.

Initially sales in these states including Gujarat

Adani Wilmar said in an announcement on Friday that the company will sell different varieties of wheat under the Fortune brand name. The wheat varieties will include Sharbati, Poorna 1544, Lokvan and AP Grade 1. Which will be initially sold in Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. The company claims that Adani Wilmar will be the only national level company in the country to enter the whole wheat sales category.

Adani Wilmar to supply quality wheat to customers across the country

Speaking on the launch of this product, Vineet Vishwambharan, Associate Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Adani Wilmar said, “Traditional families are very selective in choosing their preferred wheat varieties from neighborhood flour mills in western and eastern states of the country . But Fortune’s wheat variety will give them a choice. He said that at present there is a huge demand for good quality unadulterated wheat in the market and Adani Wilmar will provide good quality wheat to the customers across the country.

Adani Wilmar shared information about the launch of wheat under the Fortune brand name in a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges. After which the stock declined.
