Mission Life campaign in Varanasi section of North Eastern Railway, public awareness among passengers

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Ramashray Pandey, Mission Life (Lifestyle for Environment) campaign is being run in Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway. Travelers are being messaged to follow their traditions, values ​​of conservation and moderation and adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle, conserving natural resources. To give an edge to the campaign as a tool to combat climate change taking place in the environment, a public awareness rally was held at Ballia railway station on Friday and Shramdaan was given.

According to the Public Relations Officer of Varanasi Division, 150 railway passengers were sworn in under the leadership of Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Alok Kesharwani, along with Station Superintendent, Chief Health Inspector, Commercial Superintendent, Railway Protection Force Inspector and staff after Shramdan. Adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle. Besides, under Zero Plastic Consumption, commuters were made aware of the ill effects of using plastic on Ballia station’s foot over-bridges, platforms and passing trains. Instead of plastic bags, cloth bags were distributed free of cost to passengers. Under the leadership of Station Superintendent Sunil Kumar, senior supervisors and employees took out a cleanliness rally in the Ballia station premises and also planted saplings.
