Moradabad, May 26 (Hindustan Times). Bal Kalyan Samiti released the abducted girl from West Bengal from Dilari police station area. A young man from Aliabad, Dilari kidnapped the girl. The police and CWC have taken this action on the instructions of the State Child Commission.
Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Moradabad president Amit Kaushal said that a 17-year-old girl from North Dinajpur district of West Bengal went missing from her home on April 25. Relatives filed a report in this matter at Chopra Police Station in North Dinajpur. Later, on enquiry, the relatives came to know that the girl was with Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Aliabad village under Dilari police station area of Moradabad district. The West Bengal Police then contacted the Delhi-based Mukti Foundation, which corresponded with the Uttar Pradesh State Children’s Commission, to get the girl back. After receiving a tip from where, on Thursday, CWC president Amit Kaushal, members Harimohan Gupta and Akhilesh Kumar along with in-charge Parikshit Sharma of Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), SI Israr Ahmed and constables Sandeep and Shalu Malik and Dilari were taken to Aliabad by the police. till Alibad. CWC President Amit Kaushal said that currently the girl child has been sent to a shelter home. West Bengal Police has been informed. Further action will be taken by the West Bengal Police. The CWC chairman said that earlier on Saturday also a girl from West Bengal was released from Thakurdwara police station area.
