The incident involved a 72-year-old Cambodian man from Siem Reap, Cambodia, who was trying to remove an alligator after it had laid eggs in an enclosure at his family’s reptile farm. Then the crocodile grabbed hold of the stick he was wielding and dragged the old man inside. After this, a herd of about 40 crocodiles gathered around him and cut his body into pieces and left the blood-soaked body in the dam.

According to the report, the police say that when the man was trying to separate a crocodile laying eggs in a cage, he attacked it with a stick and it fell into it. After this the rest of the crocodiles also attacked him and kept biting him until he died. The old man had bite marks on his body and one of his hands had also been swallowed by a crocodile.

Police say that even in 2019, a two-year-old girl was bitten and eaten by a crocodile in a creeper field in the same village. Siem Reap is the gateway to the city with the famous ruins of Angkor Wat, which has a large number of reptile farms. Here the reptiles are raised to sell their eggs, skin, meat and their young.
