AAP lay siege to Kankhal Power House against unannounced power cuts

Haridwar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Friday surrounded the Executive Engineer of Power Distribution Division of Kankhal over unannounced power cuts in Kankhal and rural areas. Meanwhile, the leaders warned of a lockdown if power supply is not restored by evening. Executive Engineer Rupesh Kumar assured that the power system will be restored by this evening.

State Vice President Naresh Sharma said that for the last several days, villagers are facing inconvenience due to lack of regular power supply in Kankhal and other areas including Jiyapota, Ajitpur, Misrpur, Ferupur, Panjanhedi. Agriculture, business, housework and school going children are facing many difficulties due to lack of proper power supply. If the power supply is not restored by today evening, from tomorrow Aam Aadmi Party will go and lock the electrical equipment department.
