Gujarat Weather Update: Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, the state will get relief from heat. Wind speed may increase due to Western Disturbance. Due to which wind speed of 40 km per hour can blow in the coastal area. With this condition, the state will get partial relief from heat for the next three days.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places over the districts of North Gujarat region like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha, Patan and Mehsana today. Dry weather is likely over all districts of South Gujarat region, Saurashtra Kutch, remaining districts of North Gujarat region and Diu, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

Due to high humidity, the state can experience extreme heat and unbearable cold. , the temperature has crossed 40 degrees in seven cities. Looking at yesterday’s temperature, Ahmedabad was the hottest city in the state with 43.2 degrees Celsius. Orange alert has been given in Ahmedabad due to heavy storm. A yellow alert has been given in the capital Gandhinagar with 42.5 degrees. The weather department has expressed the possibility that the temperature will decrease in the coming days.

From today, the temperature in the state including Ahmedabad is likely to drop by two to three degrees. As the edge of the active monsoon trough in the Arabian Sea extends to Gujarat, rain is likely in many parts of the state, including Ahmedabad, from May 28 to 30.

 

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, pre-monsoon activity may start in the state from June 8. Regarding this, work is also being done on the premonsplan across the state. This time Surat Municipal Corporation has been alerted regarding rainwater inundation in monsoon. A strict instruction has been given by the commissioner in this matter. He said that the responsibility of waterlogging in any area will be the responsibility of the zone officers… If there is waterlogging in monsoon, action will be taken against the responsible officer of that area. The circle officer has to get a certificate that the rain trap has been cleaned. It is worth mentioning that this decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Shalini Agarwal.
