Satara: Governor Ramesh Bais visited Pratapgarh Fort with his family. Villagers of Qila Pratapgarh including Chief Secretary to Governor Santosh Kumar, Officer on Special Duty Mahesh Golani, Additional Collector and Governor’s Family Manager Arun Anandkar were present on the occasion.

Governor Bais himself ascended the fort on foot and visited Bhavani Mata on the fort and worshiped Sahakutumba Devi. Also bowed to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj installed on the fort. On this occasion Governor Shri Bais inquired about the history of the fort. Along with this, the teachers of Panchayat Committee, Education Department, Mahabaleshwar presented evidence of Afzal Khan murder case.

Visit to Shivkalna village

Governor Bais also visited Shivkalin Khedegaon Handicraft Centre, Qila Pratapgarh Machi at Wada Kumbharoshi. History is well preserved in Shiv Kal village. Here we see how people used to live in earlier times. Expressing his feelings, he said that the coming generations should see this history.
