PM Modi today gives green light to Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express, joins via virtual medium

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train running between Dehradun and Delhi at 11 am today. Prime Minister Modi will join the event virtually and flag off Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express train.

 

 

This train will run six days a week

This Vande Bharat Express train will run regularly between Dehradun and Delhi from 28th May. Earlier on Tuesday, the trial run of this express train with eight coaches between Delhi and Dehradun was successful. The train will run six days a week at seven in the morning except Wednesday. The Railway Board’s Joint Director said that the train will have only five stoppages between Dehradun and Delhi. These stoppages include Haridwar, Roorkee, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut. The maximum speed of the train will be 110 kmph. Also the average speed has been fixed at 63.41. The train fare will also be decided soon. According to sources, it is being said that the fare may be 1.2 to 1.3 per cent higher as compared to Shatabdi Express.

This train will only go up to Anand Vihar

Vande Bharat Shatabdi Express, the fastest train running from Dehradun will reach Delhi in less than an hour. However, Shatabdi Express runs upto New Delhi Railway Station. While this train will only go to Anand Vihar. The train will take 4 hours 45 minutes to reach the destination. This Vande Bharat Express train will depart Doon at 7 AM and reach Anand Vihar Railway Station at 11.45 AM. Vande Bharat will pass through Ghaziabad railway station at a slow speed.
