Police should take action against those who made lewd comments on cricketer Shubman’s sister: DCW

New Delhi, May 24 (Hindustan Times). The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued a notice to Delhi Police to register an FIR against cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister on social media.

DCW president Swati Maliwal wrote on her Twitter that we have sent a notice to the Delhi Police and demanded registration of an FIR regarding the online trolling and abuse of cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister. The police will have to file a detailed action report by May 26. Such criminals will not be allowed to escape from it.

Apart from this, Swati has also shared a copy of the letter given to the Delhi Police on Twitter. Earlier too, Swati had written on Twitter that she would take action against those who abused cricketer Shubman Gill and his sister Shahneel Gill on social media. Maliwal said that the cricketer’s sister will not be tolerated.

It is worth mentioning that Gujarat Titans won the match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore played at Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 21 under IPL 2023. Because of which RCB was out of the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Virat Kohli scored 100 runs against Gujarat Titans. Due to which RCB gave Gujarat Titans 197 runs for five wickets in 20 overs.

RCB lost the match due to a brilliant century by Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill. As soon as Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the match, RCB fans started trolling Shubman Gill on Twitter. Along with Shubman, his sister Shahneel Gill also said objectionable words. Not only this, Shahneel Gill was also threatened with rape.
