Intimation to Secretary Subordinate Services Selection Commission to take decision within two months

The Allahabad High Court has directed the Secretary of the UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Lucknow to take a decision within two months after considering the marks obtained by the applicant in the recruitment examination for 405 Excise Constable posts under the Act.

The court ordered the petitioner to make a fresh submission to the Secretary within three weeks and take a decision. Justice Saral Srivastava passed this order on the plea of ​​Vivek Kumar of Prayagraj.

The petitioner says that on 05 May 2016 the Commission conducted the recruitment. The applicant secured 20 marks in physical efficiency test, 20 marks in ball throwing. Yachi made a long jump of 15.20 feet. According to the guidelines, it should get 12 marks. But no marks were awarded. The applicant appeared for the interview and when the selection result was announced, the applicant’s name was missing from the list. He filed an application under Right to Information. It was said that he scored 40 marks in physical and 16 marks in interview, totaling 56 marks. Which is less than the cut off of general category. If 12 marks of long jump were added then the applicant would have got 68 marks and would have been shortlisted too. The petitioner made a representation but took refuge in the High Court without taking any action. While disposing of the application, the court has directed the secretary to take a decision as per the rules.
