The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday raided the residence of some associates of Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh in a case related to Delhi’s now defunct liquor policy. Sources in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said searches were conducted at several places, including the residence and office of Ajit Tyagi, a close associate of Sanjay Singh, and other businessmen and contractors. who allegedly benefited from the policy.

Sanjay Singh tweeted, ‘This morning I came to know that my colleagues’ houses have been raided. I want to say to ED that by all means adopt any weapon, adopt it, I will not stop, I will not bow down to you. We are not going to make any compromise against the Modi government. Will fight you, expose you. How ED is being misused in front of the whole country. I will keep highlighting it. Even if you have to go to Supreme Court or High Court. I will continue my fight against bullying and dictatorship.

The case alleges that Sanjay Singh and his associates played a role in the Delhi government’s decision to license liquor shops and distributors in 2020. This caused loss to the exchequer and violated anti-corruption laws.

Sanjay Singh, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament, denied any wrongdoing and accused the central government of political vendetta. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia is also among those arrested in this case.
