OMG: 400 Mughal coins found during temple construction!

Lucknow: During the construction work of the temple, 400 coins of the Mughal period have been found. Local officials told that ancient coins have been found in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Superintendent of Police Sagar Jain told that in Hussainpur village of Saharanpur Satidham Temple These coins were found while cleaning the enclosure wall and digging the soil.

 

On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Later around 400 coins were seized. Senior police officer Jain said that these coins used in the Mughal period have Arabic script.

The Archaeological Department is also examining the coins and the information about the metal used in making these coins has not been given yet. The coins found are about 350 years old and each coin weighs 11 grams.

The current market value of each coin is Rs 3,500. It is known that these coins found in Hussainpur belong to the period of Mughal ruler Shah Alam II. Historian Rajeev Upadhyay told that this Parsi script.
