Fatehabad: Child labor was being done in three Bhattu shops, the team caught

Fatehabad: Bhattu markets were inspected by the team on Wednesday following complaints of child labour. Meanwhile, it was found that three children from three shops were getting work for meager wages. While the police rescued the three children and handed them over to their relatives, a case has been registered against the three shop owners.

In a complaint to the police, Kalkaji, a resident of New Delhi, Puneet Sharma, state coordinator of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, said that under Operation Smile, he had called Labor Inspector Kamlesh Devi, district Sirsa and Fatehabad, social worker and outreach worker Asha. Savina from Child Protection Department and inspected Bhattu Bazar with police team. During the investigation they found 3 children working at different shops. The children were safely evacuated by the team. He filed a police complaint about this. The police have registered a case against the shop owners under the JJ Act and the Child Labor Act. All three children have been handed over to their family members.
