Jind: Police arrested three for betting on IPL matches

Jind: CIA staff has arrested three people for online betting on IPL matches. Police recovered two laptops, six mobiles, one extension and Rs. 10,400 in cash has been seized. The city police station has registered a case against the trio under the Gambling Act. Police are collecting online match betting information from the trio.

The CIA staff received information that some youths were betting on the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at Manoj’s house at Ramrai Gate. Acting on the information, the police raided Manoj’s house and found three youths betting on IPL matches online. The match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans was running on a laptop. The police recovered from the spot two laptops and six mobile phones, an electric extension board and Rs. 10,400 have been seized. During police interrogation, those involved in the betting were identified as Manoj, a resident of Ramrai Gate, Deepak, a resident of Dedharaj Mohla, and Jabir, a resident of Barsola village.
