SSP Kishtwar further said that action will also be taken against the supporters/accomplices of terrorists who have come to light during the investigation. He said the raid was aimed at eliminating the terrorist ecosystem in the district by identifying various over-ground workers (facilitators) and supporters of terrorism.

Earlier on May 18, SIU teams raided the houses of three suspects in the district besides five militants operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

It may be noted that a special NIA court in Jammu had on April 26 issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists from Kishtwar, who were active across the border. Earlier, non-bailable warrants were issued against 13 terrorists in the district. 36 people from Kishtwar later went to Pakistan to join the terrorist ranks.
