On Thursday, Guru Pushya Nakshatra: Pushyabhishekam of the first priest will take place in Ganesha temples of the city

Jaipur: On Thursday, due to Guru Pushya Nakshatra in capital Jaipur, the first priest will be inaugurated in the city’s ancient Ganesha temples. After reciting Ashtottarsat Namavali, devotees will first pray to the worshiper for happiness and prosperity. On this special occasion, many religious programs including Panchamrut Abhishek and special decorations were organized in various temples including Garh Ganesh Mandir, Motidungari Ganesh Mandir, Kanalana Ganeshji, Shwet Siddhi Vinayak Mandir, Dhwajadhish Ganesh, Perkote Wale Ganesh Mandir. The flag bearer was honored. New clothes will be worn.

Guru Pushya Nakshatra Abhishek will take place at Chandpol Perkota Ganesha Temple on Thursday morning at 8.30 am. Ganeshji Maharaj will be anointed with 101 kg of milk in the presence of Yuvacharya Pandit Amit Sharma. On this occasion, Ganeshji Maharaj will be seated in a flower bungalow wearing new clothes. Ganeshji Maharaj will be anointed with 101 kg of milk and Panchamrut and offered a robe of vermilion. After recitation of Ganapati Atharvashirsha, Modak Durva and Shami Patra from Ganapati Sahasranamavali will be offered to Ganesha Maharaj, Raksha Sutra will be tied and turmeric lumps will be distributed to the devotees.

At Moti Dungri Ganeshji Mandir in the presence of Mahant Kailash Sharma, Ganesha was consecrated. After this Ganeshji Maharaj will be enshrined in a specially prepared flower bungalow and dressed in new clothes. Then the Modak will be offered to the first worshiper with Sahasranam. Pushyabhishekam will also be held at other Ganesha temples including Dhwajadhish at Badi Chowpar in Jaipur, Shwet Siddhi Vinayak at Surajpol, Kale Ganesha at Chauda Rasta, Bengali Baba Ganesha Ashram at Delhi Bypass, Gangotri Ganesha Temple at Agra Road.
