On the other hand, there are reports that the opposition has boycotted the inauguration ceremony of this Parliament building. In which top opposition forces including Congress are involved. Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah mentioned Sengol. He said that Sengol has made an important contribution to our history. Even our former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru accepted Sengol. Sengol marks the transfer of power from the British.

A historical tradition will be revived – Amit Shah

Amit Shah said that the inauguration ceremony will revive a historical tradition, which has been going on for centuries. He said it is called Sengol in Tamil which literally means endowed with wealth. He said that on 14th August 1947 a unique incident took place. Today even after 75 years most of the citizens of the country are not aware of this. Sengol played an important role in our history. It became a symbol of the transfer of Sengol power. When PM Modi came to know about it, he got it thoroughly investigated. After this investigation, it was decided to put him before the country. The day of inauguration of the new Parliament building was chosen for this.
