Jagdalpur, May 23 (Hindustan Times). The problem of power failure has become common in the corporation area of Bastar district headquarters. People are suffering due to the humid heat as power supply is interrupted three to four times a day, while traders have to bear the brunt.
Lack of electricity amid scorching heat is showing anger among local people. A power distribution company does not consider it advisable to hire employees only for its own benefit, and wants to run its operations with minimum field staff. Even the administration is sitting silently on the crumbling system of the power distribution company.
Bastar District Headquarters Power Distribution Company is in bad condition. The dilapidated condition of the building where the employees of the power distribution company sit and work can be easily estimated from the broken door that the power distribution company has brought the entire system to. It is a bitter truth that due to shortage of staff in the power distribution company, the common consumer has to wait for hours for the power supply to stop. Power failure three to four times a day has become common. Local public representatives and administration are sitting silently. The administration should review the dilapidated system of the power distribution company and relieve the common man from the hardship of power supply interruption.
