Broken Guitar: A guitar which does not even know how to play now, but an anonymous person in America has sold it for about 500 rupees. 5 crore ($600,000) was purchased. Famous musician Kurt Cobain repaired this guitar and made it in one piece. He was the lead singer of the hit rock band Nirvana. Cobain, who took his own life in 1994, broke his guitar while making the band’s album Never Mind in the early 90s. It was put back but despite being badly damaged is worth crores of rupees.
After the repair, the Cobain guitar was signed in silver ink by all three Nirvana band members. A black Stratocaster guitar, a Fender brand, is auctioned at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York. The price of the guitar at this auction was much higher than expected and ten times higher than expected. The exact price of this guitar was $595,900 (more than Rs 4.94 crore).
In 1992, singer Kurt Cobain handed over the guitar to his frontman Mark Lanegan during a concert tour. Although the price of this guitar was quite high, it is not the most expensive guitar Cobain owned.
