Ajay Devgan starrer Dashyam will be remade in Korea. It was announced during the Cannes Film Festival. Song Kang Ho, who won Best International Film at the Oscars 2020, will play the role of Ajay in the Korean remake. This will be the first Indian film to be remade in South Korea. This is a matter of great pride for the Indian film industry. However, it is worth noting that ‘Drishyam’, made in Hindi, is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film ‘Drishyam’. ‘Drishyam’ has been remade not only in Hindi but also in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. All remakes of the film have been successful so far. Many changes will be made keeping in mind the Korean audience. Indian production company Panorama Studios and former local Korean head of Warner Bros. Jay Choi’s Anthology Studios have signed on for the remake. Also, Parasite actor Song Kang Ho and director Kim Ji Woon have teamed up for the Korean remake. Also, this will be the first collaboration between an Indian and a Korean studio.
