The issue of demonetisation of Rs 2000 notes is currently under discussion. The matter has now reached the Delhi High Court. Notes can be exchanged from May 23
The Reserve Bank has issued an FAQ and it has been said that the process of replacement of old Rs 2000 notes will start from May 23, 2023 and can be replaced till September 30. If you also have these notes then no need to panic, you can easily exchange them by going to the bank.
ID card will not be required
The State Bank of India has said in its notification that no one will have to provide eye proof or fill any form to exchange Rs 2000 note. 2000 to 20,000 rupees notes can be easily exchanged in one go.
