Udaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that by celebrating Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary every year, the younger generation is being inspired by his sacrifice, bravery and bravery. His story of bravery and sacrifice inspires people not only in Rajasthan but abroad to move forward with a sense of self-respect.
Gehlot was addressing a program organized by the Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha and the Municipal Corporation to mark the 483rd birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap at Sukhdia Theater in Udaipur on Monday. He said that it is the duty of the present generation to hand over this glorious saga of heroism to the coming generations. One should resolve to work only for the service of humanity. He said that the places associated with the life of Maharana Pratap, Chawand, Gogunda, Haldighati etc. make the identity of Mewar special.
The Chief Minister announced the formation of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Board in the function. This board will inform the younger generation about Pratap’s bravery. The Board will plan for course material, heritage conservation, innovation, research work in various languages, promotion of publications, national-international awards, lectures, poets’ convention etc. It will also create an environment for the new generation.
Gehlot also announced to undertake development works at a cost of 5 crores for the development of Maharana Pratap’s mausoleum, Rajtilak place and other places, allotment of land near Meera Medpat Girls Hostel for hostel. He said that construction of Maharana Pratap Panorama at Chawand at a cost of 4 crores has been announced, for which work orders have been issued.
The Chief Minister said that Mewar Complex was announced when he was Union Minister. Under this, the development of all the places associated with Maharana Pratap started from the point of view of tourism. Efforts were made to make local and foreign tourists aware of the glorious history of these places. Gehlot said that if the Mewar complex is made effective, it will prove effective in preserving history. He requested the Chittorgarh MP to get back the old files related to the complex from the central government and carry out development works under this. He said that he himself would write a letter to the Prime Minister requesting it.
On this occasion, Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat, Minister of State for Tribes Arjun Singh Bamania, Chittogarh MP CP Joshi, former Minister of State for Education and MLA Govind Singh Dotasara, MLA Preeti Shaktiwat, Dharmanarayan Joshi, Phulsingh Meena, former Union Minister Dr. Girija Vyas, Municipal Mayor Govind Singh Tank, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, Bhanusinh Kanwat, Chandraveer Singh Karelia and other public representatives from the organizing body and a large number of common people were present.
