Dubai : The International Cricket Council (ICC) has charged umpire Jatin Kashyap with two counts of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. Cases of infringement emerged from the investigation of international matches in 2022.
Kashyap has been accused of breaching Articles 2.4.6 and 2.4.7 of the Code.
The ICC said in a statement, “These breaches have come to light during an investigation into international matches in 2022. As per Article 4.6.6 of the Code, Mr Kashyap has 14 days from May 19 to respond to the allegations.”
Explain failure or refusal without compelling justification to cooperate with any investigation conducted by the ACU in paragraph 2.4.6, including accurate and complete disclosure of any information and/or documentation requested by the ACU as part of such investigation Failure to provide in kind.
Wherein Article 2.4.7 obstructs or delays any investigation to be carried out by the ACU, including concealment, tampering with or destruction of any document or other information which may be relevant to that investigation and/or Or whatever the evidence may be.
