Two coaches derailed near Karmanasha railway station, affecting train operations

Chandauli/Varanasi: Pt. Two coaches of a freight train suddenly derailed on Monday near Karmanasha railway station between Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar (PDDU) and Gaya Bihar. There was no loss of any kind in the accident. But the movement of trains on this route was affected. On receiving the information, the railway officials reached the spot with a technical team. With the help of crane and JCB, the bogie was brought to the track and traffic was restored. Meanwhile, many trains going and going on this route were stopped.

It was said that the goods train was going to Jharkhand loaded with coal from a yard located in PDDU Nagar. As soon as the goods train reached Karmanasha station, suddenly two coaches derailed. Due to which the movement of trains on the New Delhi-Howrah route was affected. As soon as the information was received, the railway officials along with the technical team reached the spot with the accident relief vehicle. The team was able to get the bogies back on track after about four hours of effort and then the railway officials heaved a sigh of relief as the goods train was sent to its destination. According to railway officials, the accident will be investigated. The Regional Railway Manager (DRM) has ordered an inquiry.
