Ballia, 22 May (his). A boat met with an accident in the river Ganga near Maldepur, adjacent to the city, on Monday morning. After the rescue operation, the dead bodies of the two women have been brought to the district hospital. While the rest have been saved. Most of the people on the boat were women who were crossing the Ganges for the Mundan ritual.
According to information, around 30-35 people boarded the boat from Maldepur ghat at around eight in the morning for three separate mundan rituals. According to tradition, all the people were going to Bihar by crossing the Ganga by boat. That is why the boat started sinking in the middle of Ganga. Seeing this, there was chaos. On hearing the sound, the surrounding people started rescue work. As soon as the information was received, CO Sadar Ashok Mishra reached the spot along with the police personnel and instructed to speed up the rescue work. It is being informed that four women victims of the boat accident have been taken to the district hospital. In which two were declared dead. which could not be identified. While the condition of two is said to be critical.
