Bengaluru heavy rain : A woman died while a child went missing due to heavy rains in Bengaluru, capital of Karnataka. It has been raining heavily in the city for almost 2 hours, due to which the underpasses are flooded. One car got stuck in the water. There were 6 people in this car. Expressing condolences to the family, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also announced help for the incident.

He visited the hospital and said, “Sympathy with the family and an assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given to Bhanu Rekha’s family.” Along with this, he has assured free treatment for all the family members.

As soon as the car began to sink, the relatives started shouting for help. After this people around helped and took him to the hospital. A woman in the car died after reaching the hospital. The woman has been identified as Bhanu Rekha. A small child was also missing. According to sources, 6 people in the car had come from Hyderabad to Bangalore but got stuck here on Sunday (May 21) afternoon due to heavy rain and hail.

Unaware of the water level in the underpass, the car driver tried to proceed but the car almost submerged midway. The occupants of the car rushed to save themselves. The water level started rising due to rain. On the shouts of the family, the surrounding people came forward to save him. People tried to pull them out with the help of sarees and ropes.

Sources said the trapped people tried to escape but failed. Two of them were rescued by emergency service personnel, while others were brought out using ladders. Bhanu Rekha was working at Infosys in Bangalore.

After this, there was a sudden change in the atmosphere of Bengaluru city in the afternoon. Bengaluru city received rain in the afternoon with strong winds. The streets were flooded again.
