2000 note will be exchanged without filling the form, SBI announced notification

This notice has been issued by the State Bank of India regarding the replacement of 2000 notes. It has been said that no form or slip will be required to exchange 10 notes of Rs 20,000 or Rs 2,000.

This means you can easily exchange notes without filling any form by going to any branch of SBI.

The notice issued by the bank has clearly stated that you will not need any ID proof while exchanging notes from Rs 2000 to Rs 20,000. Such customers will not need to carry any ID proof while exchanging notes.

The Reserve Bank of India announced the withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes on 19 May 2023. The central bank had said that the notes would remain legal tender even after withdrawal. Common people will be able to exchange Rs 2000 notes from May 23 to September 30.

 

RBI has clarified that a person can exchange a maximum of Rs 2000 or a maximum of 10 notes of Rs 2000 at a time.
