Lucknow, May 21 (Hindustan Times). Bahujan Samaj Party National President Mayawati has given her first reaction on Sunday to the Reserve Bank of India’s announcement of demonetisation of Rs 2000 notes.
In a tweet, Mayawati said that as the currency and its value in the world market is linked to the interest and reputation of the country, its frequent changes have a direct impact on public interest. That is why a proper study on its effects and consequences is necessary before doing so. Government should pay attention to this.
