Another new chapter has been added in the history of Karnataka politics. While Siddaramaiah took oath as Chief Minister on Saturday. At the same time DK Sivakumar was sworn in as Deputy CM. The first meeting of the state cabinet was held after the swearing-in ceremony of the newly formed government in the state. It was presided over by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

In the meeting, 5 commitments announced in the manifesto including Griha Lakshmi Yojana, Anna Bhagya Yojana were implemented. CM Siddaramaiah said that 5 guarantees were promised in the manifesto.

 

The order to implement these five guarantees was given after the first meeting of the Cabinet. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has issued an order to implement Anna Bhagya Yojana, which provides free 10 kg rice to BPL families every month.

First 200 units of free electricity under Griha Jyoti, Rs. 2000, 10 kg of free rice to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family under Anna Bhagya Yojana, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 1,500 for two years to unemployed diploma holders under Yuva Nidhi Yojana, free travel for women in public transport buses.
