Amit Shah: On the occasion of completion of 125 years of ‘Shri Delhi Gujarati Samaj’, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that four Gujaratis have made an important contribution in building modern India. Shah said that Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Morarji Desai and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have made important contributions in the modern history of India. These four Gujaratis have contributed significantly to the condition of India today. Shah said that India’s fame is spreading all over the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Bapu gave freedom

Amit Shah said that the country got freedom because of Gandhiji, the country got united because of Sardar Sahib, the country’s democracy was revived because of Morarji Desai and India’s name rose in the world because of Narendra Modi. He said that these four Gujarati celebrities have done great things and they are the pride of the entire country. Amit Shah arrived in Delhi as the chief guest in a program organized on the occasion of completion of 125 years of Sri Delhi Gujarati Samaj.

 

Tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Referring to the nine-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah said that the country has achieved many achievements during this period. He said that when Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, India’s economy was ranked 11th in the world. Today after nine years India is the 5th largest economy in the world. The Home Minister said that now many agencies including the IMF are looking at India’s economy as a new power. On this occasion, he praised Gujaratis fiercely.

Gujarati society is present all over the country and world and always blends well while serving any society. He said that apart from connecting Gujaratis living in Delhi with their culture and civilization, this organization has worked to inspire them to serve the country and society.

The Home Minister congratulated all the people associated with this institution on the completion of 125 years. He said that the Gujarati society has got its acceptance and the Gujarati society has maintained the spirit of Gujarat even while living in Delhi. They have developed and maintained and propagated its culture. He said that people from all walks of life live in Delhi and the Gujarati community also lives in an organized manner in the city.
