Karnataka finally got its Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister today. Congress leader Siddaramaiah today took oath as the 30th Chief Minister of Karnataka. At the same time, DK Shivakumar took oath as Deputy Chief Minister in the new government. Apart from this, more than eight MLAs have been included in the Siddaramaiah cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony of this new government had several leaders who did not attend even after being invited, raising questions about the unity of the opposition.

These people did not come even after calling

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge himself invited several opposition leaders to attend the oath-taking ceremony. However, even after the invitation, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, National Conference Leader Farooq Abdullah, Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray, CPI General Secretary Dr. Dr. D Raja, CPIM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury was not present at the event.

These leaders were not called

On the other hand there were many leaders who were not called at all. They include Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Telangana CM KCR, Kerala CM P Vijayan, Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy, Odisha CM besides BSP Chief Mayawati and BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik.
