Australia

Australia was the first country in the world to introduce plastic notes in 1988. Australia is also the only country where polymer notes are made and these notes are also exported to other countries.

Papua New Guinea

Vietnam

It is a South East Asian country where plastic currency was introduced in the year 2003. Vietnamese dong is used here. In which the highest value note is of five lakhs. Which is considered equal to 20 US dollars.

romania

Romania is the first and only country in Europe to adopt plastic currency. The currency here is called the Romanian Leu. In the year 2005, the government here changed the Romanian currency note to plastic note.
