300 kg heritage cannon stolen from police mess in Chandigarh, no one knows

Police suspect that 4 to 5 people are involved in this theft.

Regarding this theft, the local police say that this cannon is very heavy and no one can steal it. It is suspected that 4 to 5 people are involved in this theft. The theft is said to have taken place on the night of May 5 and 6. According to the information, the sub-inspector came to know about the theft about 15 days ago. This heritage gun was a very important asset of the Punjab Armed Police. About a year and a half ago, he was shifted to the store room of 82 Battalion. However, it was later put on public display once again.

CCTV cameras were also not installed

There were no CCTV cameras where the cannon was kept. In such a situation, it has become difficult for the police to find the accused. A case has been registered in the police station on the complaint of PPS officer Commandant Balwinder Singh.
