New Delhi, May 19 (Hindustan Times). The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) on Wednesday unveiled an architectural model of its upcoming complex. The new complex was designed by renowned Ghanaian-British architect Sir David Adje with local architect S. Prepared in association with Ghosh & Associates. This complex, which will be completed in Delhi in the year 2026, is going to be the largest cultural center in India. An exhibition centering on the model of the museum was also launched on the occasion.

KNMA founder and president Kiran Nadar said he was very excited to unveil the model of the new building. This new campus of KNMA is envisioned as a world-class cultural center, a state-of-the-art building and a cultural powerhouse accessible to all. It will be the best place for cultural exploration, culture meeting and various conversations. Also a place where all types of audiences will be included and engaged. He said that people and society are at the center of KNMA. At its core is the vision of bridging the gap between people around art, preserving the treasures of the cultural past and nurturing a younger generation of creative artists and thinkers.

Surrounding this new model at the center of the museum’s exhibition are artists Taiyab Mehta (1925–2009), Zarina (1937–2020) and Nasreen Mohammadi (1937–1990), spanning nearly decades in the museum’s collection. Works by artists such as well-known artists are included in the exhibition. Along with this, contemporary filmmaker Amit Dutta’s film Touch AIR (2023) is also a major part of the exhibition.

KNMA was founded in 2010 by Kiran Nadar, one of India’s renowned art collectors. It was established as a leading private museum exhibiting modern and contemporary art from India and the subcontinent. Currently it has two branches located at New Delhi and Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The new campus, which is spread over 100,000 square meters, will be located near the Indira Gandhi International Airport on the National Highway (NH-8) in Delhi.
