Amritpal Singh and Amrik have been remanded in custody till May 27

New Delhi, May 19 (Hindustan Times). Delhi’s Patiala House Court has remanded Amritpal Singh alias Ami and Amrik Singh, suspected terrorists of banned outfit Khalistan Tiger Force, to NIA custody till May 27. Special Judge Shailendra Malik gave this order.

Both the accused were extradited from Manila and brought to Delhi today. After production of both, NIA sought 12 days custody. Both are accused of recruiting youths for the Khalistan Tiger Force. He is accused of supplying arms and raising funds for the Khalistan Tiger Force.

Several cases have been registered in Punjab against both the accused. The NIA registered an FIR against the duo in August 2022 under sections of the UAPA and the Indian Penal Code. According to the NIA, both the accused were helping Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Dalla and working for the Khalistan Tiger Force.
