However, many states have been warned of rain due to the Western Disturbance. The Meteorological Department said that the north-eastern states will receive light to heavy rains for the next six days.

Heavy rain forecast in 2 states, rain alert in 4 states

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain will continue in the north-eastern states for a week. While heavy rains are likely in Assam, Meghalaya from May 19 to 24, heavy rains have been warned in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today.

Wind with dust is expected in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan

Talking about North-West India, dusty winds are also expected in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. Due to Western Disturbance, a new round of rain may start in the states of North West India from the night of May 23. While central India’s Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh may receive light to moderate rain on May 22. As for South India, a warning of light to moderate rain has been issued for a week.

Heatwave, unbearable heat warning in these states

According to the weather during the week, the maximum temperature in Maharashtra may increase between 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. Also, there will be no change in temperature over North West and Central India during the next 48 hours, however, there will be an increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius thereafter. A heat wave warning has been issued for South Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh from May 20 to 23. While Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Konkan, Goa Coastal, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Tamil Nadu have also expressed the possibility of high temperatures, due to which the possibility of unbearable heat has been expressed in these areas.
