Good news for PUBG fans, BGMI will resume in India after a 10 month ban

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is back in India. This game was banned about 10 months ago. The game has also been removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store after the government’s decision. However, the comeback will soon be made available on the Play Store. BGMI is a rebranded version of PUBG Mobile India which was launched by parent company Crafton with some changes.

The app will be available soon

Sean Hanil Sohan, CEO, Crafton India informed BGMI about the relaunch. “We are extremely grateful to the Indian authorities for allowing the resumption of operations for Battleground Mobile India,” he added. He further said that this app will be available soon. Over 300 apps have been banned by the Indian government over the years, with BGMI being the only app that has been relaunched. Crafton has invested $100 million in the Indian startup ecosystem. This will boost the fast growing e-support industry in India.

Not much has changed

PUBG Mobile was the rebranded version and not much has changed. This was the reason why many people were demanding to ban it. Crafton was also accused of hiring the same Chinese executives who worked for PUBG Mobile India. Crafton previously claimed that BGMI surpassed 100 million registered users in July 2022.
