A 15-year-old student studying in Class 8 in Greater Noida died of a sudden heart attack while playing with friends. The teacher took Rohit Singh, a student who fell while playing, to the hospital, but to no avail. Doctors said that the student died before being taken to the hospital.

The teachers said that when Rohit Singh fell, they rubbed his hands and feet and tried to make him drink water. School principal Nutan Saxena said that since it was summer, they tried drinking ORS solution to see if they were deficient in water. To no avail, the family members were informed and taken to the hospital.

In recent times, the cases of heart attack among the youth have increased rapidly. Health experts believe that heart attacks are caused by lifestyle and genetic factors.
