One dies in a road accident in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills

West Garo Hills, May 18 (Hindustan Times). An auto driver was killed in a collision between a bolero and an auto rickshaw at Asnang in West Garo Hills district on Thursday. The deceased auto driver has been identified as Genda CH Marak, a resident of Manchurigre village in Asanang.

Two passengers traveling in the tempo also sustained serious injuries in the accident at Asanang, 18 km from Tura. Both the seriously injured passengers have been admitted to Tura Civil Hospital. According to the eyewitnesses, the Bolero was going in the wrong direction of the road, due to which the accident took place. The police registered a crime and sent the body to the hospital for postmortem.
