Period fest at CCSU aimed at awakening girls

Meerut Although menstruation is a natural and very normal process, even today girls hesitate and feel shy while talking about it. Even today girls cannot share their problems related to menstruation with anyone. Sachi Saheli along with SBI Foundation has taken up the work to solve these physical and mental problems especially of girls.

A period fest was organized at Chaudhary Charan Singh University on Thursday as part of ‘Ek Pehal Naya Savera’ to sensitize schoolgirls about menstruation. In which around 140 female students from various educational institutions took out a walk from Tejgarhi Chople to Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU). In the Pada Yatra, the girl students raised their voices with ‘Hum Bolenge Muh Kholenge Tabhi Jamana Badega’ and reached the Subhash Chandra Bose Auditorium celebrating periods with the band.

District Magistrate Deepak Meena and University Chancellor Prof. The program was organized with the support of Sangeeta Shukla. Trainee IAS SDM Jagurti Avasthi inaugurated the Pada Yatra. He said that periods are a normal physiological process that we should talk about openly. This is the hallmark of a healthy body. Dr. Surbhi Singh, founder president of the social organization Sacchi Saheli, attacked the beliefs related to periods among children through stories, which were well received by the children.

SBI Foundation MD Sanjay Prakash said that with the support of Sachi Saheli, initiatives have been taken to start Naya Savera project in various schools of Meerut city. They will continue to work to remove misconceptions in the same way in the future. The stalls set up during this period showcased new information related to menstruation, different types of menstrual products like menstrual cups etc. through games.

During this, colorful programs were presented. Ila Srivastava, Rachna, Malvika, Simple, Zeenat, Indu, Rakhi, Shahnaz, Rikita, Seema, Nisha, Pallavi, Reena etc were present on this occasion.
