The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted interim relief to former Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede in the Aryan Khan Cruise drugs case. The High Court has stayed any action including arrest against Wankhede till May 22. Apart from this, Wankhede has been asked to file a petition in the Bombay High Court.
This directive has come at a time when the CBI has summoned Aryan Khan for questioning in the cruise drugs case on Thursday. Wankhede got relief on the basis of writ petition. In this, the conversation between Wankhede and senior officials of NCB has come to light. It has been revealed that senior NCB officials themselves wanted Aryan Khan to be kept in NCB custody for as long as possible. The CBI has alleged that Wankhede allegedly extorted Rs 25 crore from the family of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. a bribe Demanded, so that they could not be implicated in the drug case. In this regard, the CBI had recently raided the premises of Wankhede and filed an FIR.
The CBI has registered a case against Wankhede and others under Sections 120B and 388 of the Indian Penal Code under the Prevention of Corruption Act related to bribery on a complaint by the NCB.
